Our story
Our story begins in La Plata, a small town in Charles County, Southern Maryland — where two highly focused individuals sat across from each other and saw the same thing: a gap in the market that nobody was filling. Organizations in the region were being underserved by technology firms that were either too large to care about individual client outcomes or too small to deliver enterprise-grade solutions. The idea was simple – build something different. Build a firm that brings the depth and rigor of a global consultancy with the personal investment and responsiveness that only a founder-led team can deliver. That conversation in La Plata became La Plata Technologies. What started as a local vision quickly grew into something much bigger.
Today, we are a U.S.-based global enterprise technology services and consulting firm specializing in cybersecurity, cloud infrastructure, managed IT, AI and data analytics, and digital transformation. We serve federal, state, and local government agencies alongside commercial enterprises across multiple industries — but we’ve never forgotten where we started, or why.

Chief Solutions Architect & Co-FounderCharles leads all technical strategy and solution architecture at La Plata Technologies. With deep expertise across enterprise architecture, cloud infrastructure, and digital transformation, he ensures that every solution we deliver is built on a foundation of technical excellence. Charles oversees solution design, pre-sales engineering, technology vendor partnerships, and the development of La Plata’s proprietary accelerators and toolkits. His hands-on approach means clients get direct access to senior technical leadership from day one.
Chukwuemeka Onodugo
Chief Operating Officer & Co-FounderChukwuemeka drives all business operations, cybersecurity practice leadership, and client relationships at La Plata Technologies. He brings specialized expertise in security assessments, compliance program management, and government procurement. Chukwuemeka oversees business development, financial operations, contractor management, and regulatory compliance — ensuring that the business side of La Plata runs as precisely as the technology we deliver.
